RLG Partner, Court Rich, tweets from the Deutsche Bank Leveraged Finance Conference where Clinton and Bush spoke – fascinating interaction!

Great energy between Bush and Clinton. Clinton says he worked with W’a dad and W says “you didn’t work with him you beat him.”

Do you miss the White House? Clinton: it is really dumb to spend a day of your life wishing you can do something you can’t do anymore.”

Do you miss the White House? Bush: “No!” but “it’s irritating to stop at stop lights.”

Clinton on how he would have responded at debate: would have said “moderate Mitt returns, I missed you man.”

Bush: “my high school teacher would have a heart attack knowing I became president.”

Clinton on employment #’s: “as long as numbers were bad [r’s] thought the #’s were as sacred as the tablets Moses brought down. But now…”

Bush on Congress and solving the fiscal cliff: “they don’t know how to lead…there are too many of them…but they do react to crisis.”

Clinton: “this fiscal cliff, we are not going to fall off it.” Bush agrees.

President Clinton on Romney’s debate success he “offered a vigorous, good, and uncontested account of himself.”

At Deutsche Bank Leveraged Finance Conference just heard from Presidents Clinton and George W. together.
