Nash here for court hearing, trying to keep ex-wife, children from moving to Calif.

Steve Nash, the former Sun and NBA superstar, returned Wednesday to downtown Phoenix, but it was no homecoming.

Nash was on the witness stand in Maricopa County Superior Court, where he is fighting to keep his ex-wife and three children from moving near him in Los Angeles, where he now plays for the Lakers.

A key issue, according to court testimony, is whether Nash would eventually be forced to pay child support should his ex-wife,

, move herself and their three young children near Nash, who leases a home in Manhattan Beach.

The couple divorced in late 2011. Nash does not pay child support under the terms of the divorce settlement.
