San Tan girl fights to keep horse

A San Tan Valley girl is at risk of losing her best friend. It’s a friend who was with her during the worst of times.

Ellie Yar was diagnosed with a brain tumor about a year and a half ago. “I had surgery then radiation treatment,” she said.

Ellie, like many girls her age loves horses, and wished to have one of her own.

“When she got her diagnosis I thought I have to find a way to get her a horse,” said Claire Yar, Ellie’s mom.
