(SCOTTSDALE, Ariz.) – The Fourth Annual Bentley Scottsdale Polo Championships:Horses & Horsepower, taking place on October 25th and 26th, will be filled with more than just polo; Phoenix Children’s Hospital will hosting an exciting game of luck, where the winner will cash out with $2,500, and the remaining proceeds will go to benefit the PCH Hope Fund.

Horse Chip Bingo is a game where the most important part isn’t the dice or a deck of cards; it’s a living, breathing horse!  In an area containing a roaming horse, you purchase a random square, in which the horse will “do what comes naturally.”  If the horse does his business in your square – you win!

The plot of land will be divided into 2,644 squares, each square with its own labeled number. Participants can purchase a “deed” for a $10 donation, which is marked with a designated square number.  The deeds can be purchased ahead of time over the phone by contacting Stephanee Germaine at 602-933-2621, or on the PCH website. They are also available for purchase day of, Saturday October 25th, on the west end of the polo field, before the horse is unleashed!

The horse will roam in the 30 ft. wide by 30 ft. long area, as onlookers anticipate its gastronomical actions. After the horse does its business, the judge will determine in which square the largest plop landed, and the owner of this deed will be the grand prize winner, walking away with $2,500!  Owner of the winning deed need not be present to win; they simply must present the original deed to claim the prize.  Other smaller prizes will be available for participants to win, as well.

“This will be a fun, lighthearted ‘horsepower’ element of the Polo Championships,” said Stephanee Germaine, the special events coordinator at the Phoenix Children’s Hospital Foundation.  “Win or lose, all proceeds benefit a great cause, and that’s at the core of why we’re doing this.”

The Hope Fund is the most beneficial way to support Phoenix Children’s Hospital. The fund allows the hospital the freedom to use the funds when and where it is needed most, whether that means purchasing essential equipment, launching critical new programs, conducting cutting-edge research, or giving charitable care to those in need. The money raised from Horse Chip Bingo will help Phoenix Children’s Hospital continue to provide the best care possible to their patients through the Hope Fund.

In addition to Horse Chip Bingo, the Bentley Scottsdale Polo Championships will be bursting at the seams with action. Witness the prowess of polo as the top players from around the globe, including Julio Arellano, Sunny Hale, Ricky Cooper, and many more, show off their skills. Watch Scottsdale’s most stylish pooches strut their stuff on the runway at the first ever Canine Couture Fashion Show, presented by Applewood Pet Resort.
