Developers take advantage when impact fees are halted, city revenues lost

The city of Tucson charges about $7,900 in impact fees for the average single-family house, estimated David Godlewski, president of the Southern Arizona Home Builders Association.

And before the city’s pause on impact fees, some of the largest currently active subdivisions in town were paying a lot more, noted local real estate researcher Ginger Kneup.
