The owner of California’s Hotel Del Coronado has paid $140 million for the Four Seasons Resort Scottsdale at Troon North.

Chicago-based Strategic Hotels & Resorts Inc. purchased the 210-room Four Seasons resort, which is situated on 40 acres, from private equity firm Walton Street Capital of Chicago.

The sale, announced in November, includes 14 acres of adjacent vacant land where 88 hotel rooms and potentially condominiums can be built.
