The Gilbert Planning Commission has recommended rezoning a five-acre parcel on the northwest corner of Rome and Melrose streets for a three-story, 96-bed orthopedic skilled nursing facility of up to 80KSF.
The Center at Val Vista is conveniently located a couple of blocks from Mercy Gilbert Medical Center.
Co-owner Steve Dobias said he couldn’t yet put a construction cost on the Gilbert project, which could break ground in July or August with a yearlong construction schedule. Dobias declined to name the owners, saying they are up to 100 people, many of whom are local.
