Chandler has endorsed the latest step in the ongoing development of a master-planned community in the southeast part of the city, signing off on the style of 114 homes that will be built southwest of Queen Creek and Lindsay Roads.

The Layton Lakes community encompasses 832 acres, of which 373 acres is in Chandler and the remainder in neighboring Gilbert, where most of the first phase has been built.
