ADOT purchase offers in Loop 202 expansion cause frustration

As the Arizona Department of Transportation continues to work on buying homes that lie in the proposed route of the Loop 202 South Mountain expansion, some residents say they’re becoming frustrated with the process.

Homeowner Lousia Garcia said she has lived near 32nd Street and Pecos Road since 2011, and that she’s not happy with the department’s initial offer on her home.

“It was only for $260,000,” she said.
