Mesa approves 10 percent city council pay raise

The Mesa City Council on Monday unanimously voted to increase council salaries 10 percent, from $36,832 to $40,582, a raise that will take effect in January.

The council also approved a $20 bump to the mayor’s and council’s monthly $80 communication stipend, which covers phone costs.
