 Hopi Tribe lawsuit versus Snowbowl dismissed Remaining claim against Arizona Snowbowl dismissed Aug. 13 by Coconino County Superior Court judge By Katherine Locke | Navajo=Hopi Observer The Hopi Tribe's lawsuit last claim against the city of Flagstaff over the use of reclaimed water at the Arizona Snowbowl was dismissed Aug. 13 by Coconino County Superior Court Judge Mark Moran.  The remaining claim by the tribe filed in 2011 said the city's decision to sell treated wastewater to Snowbowl caused a public nuisance and negatively impacted people and plants. Moran said Aug. 13, the tribe failed to show they suffered a special injury, which is required to claim that snowmaking caused a public nuisance. Remaining claim against Arizona Snowbowl dismissed Aug. 13 by Coconino County Superior Court judge

The Hopi Tribe’s lawsuit last claim against the city of Flagstaff over the use of reclaimed water at the Arizona Snowbowl was dismissed Aug. 13 by Coconino County Superior Court Judge Mark Moran.

The remaining claim by the tribe filed in 2011 said the city’s decision to sell treated wastewater to Snowbowl caused a public nuisance and negatively impacted people and plants. Moran said Aug. 13, the tribe failed to show they suffered a special injury, which is required to claim that snowmaking caused a public nuisance.
