Senate President Andy Biggs defeated former GoDaddy executive Christine Jones by 27 votes after the 5th Congressional District race recount.

When the recount began, Jones trailed Biggs by 16. Now, she trails him by 27 votes. Biggs got 25,244 votes to Jones’ 25,217.

Jones this week pre-emptively filed a lawsuit that is likely to be used as a vehicle to contest that result, but at this moment, it is unclear what her next move will be.
