ADOT’s newest 5-year plan does not include I-10 section north of Casa Grande

The Arizona Department of Transportation’s latest list of transportation projects does not include widening the section of Interstate 10 between Casa Grande and Chandler.

ADOT released a tentative draft of its updated five-year plan last week, highlighting which infrastructure projects the agency plans to start by 2022.

As with last year’s plan, widening this section of I-10 was not included among the list of highway projects. Expanding the gateway to Phoenix to three lanes is often mentioned by local officials, including members of the Casa Grande City Council, as a desired project.
