‘Innovation Pavilion’ coming to Florence

Florence could get a boost from a new development with various parts working in synergy to encourage entrepreneurs, educate a local technical work force and attract the skilled young adults that growing companies want to hire.

This new “Innovation Pavilion” will begin in Town Hall, but could eventually result in construction of a 200,000-square-foot campus north of the Florence Library and Community Center. The Town Council gave town staff the OK to begin negotiating a development agreement with Startup Pavilion LLC, doing business as Innovation Pavilion, at Monday’s meeting. Pinal County will also be a party to the agreement.

Town Manager Brent Billingsley told the council that town staff believes this is an “awesome opportunity” for Florence and “we worked hard to obtain this opportunity.”
