Phoenix Suns announce $1 million grant aimed at community basketball court renovations

Standing in the middle of a freshly renovated basketball court outside of Neighborhood Ministries in downtown Phoenix Wednesday afternoon, Phoenix Suns Managing Partner Robert Sarver announced a new $1 million grant aimed at renovating basketball courts around the state.

The grant, which celebrates the Suns’ 50th season, will bring renovations to 50 different basketball courts around Arizona, including the one at Neighborhood Ministries, which provides community programs for under-resourced families and their children in inner city Phoenix. It is located at 918 W. Van Buren St.
