First Strategic Communications and Public Affairs was pleased to partner with Summit Group in commissioning the first poll in the race for Phoenix Mayor. Of the four current council members, Councilman Daniel Valenzuela has a very slight lead, but also within the margin of error showing this is anyone’s race to win.
Marcus Dell’Artino with First Strategic Public Affairs says, “It’s clear from these early results that there is no favorite or front-runner in the race to succeed Greg Stanton as Mayor. I would imagine other interested candidates have seen similar poll results and are laying the groundwork for a run for the city’s highest office. I think an outsider with business experience would have a fair shot at being elected and upsetting the status quo.”
