San Tan residents object to Queen Creek annexation

San Tan Valley residents are petitioning to stop the town of Queen Creek from annexing land that could be developed into car dealerships and storage facilities.

Two residents filed a petition in Pinal County Superior Court earlier this year asking for an ordinance the Queen Creek Town Council adopted to be invalidated.

The issue is over a 35-acre property located adjacent the plaintiff’s neighborhood, near Ellsworth Road and Empire Boulevard, that the council voted to annex in an ordinance passed in May.
