1 SR347 continues to be deadly, but is hope on the way?

Our top story of the year is one that initially appears to be nothing new. Driving on State Route 347 continues to be a dangerous idea, particularly at several intersections between Maricopa and Interstate 10.

Six people died in vehicular accidents on SR 347 in 2017, including a triple fatality that took place in late November when a semi truck collided with a pickup truck near Casa Blance Road, killing three residents of the Gila River Indian Community.
