Council approves funding for $16M Casa Grande rec center

The Casa Grande City Council approved moving forward with the community recreation center despite concerns raised about financing.

Councilman Dick Powell questioned the issuance of bonds for the project and made a motion to continue the item until the next meeting. His motion received support from fellow members Lisa Fitzgibbons and Ralph Varela, but it failed.
