Surprise to vote on purchase of Circle City Water Co.

Residents of Surprise will vote in a special election this coming May to decide if the city will acquire the Circle City Water Co. (CCW), a move that could grow the city’s allocation of Colorado River water by over 38 percent.

The Surprise City Council recently voted to let voters have their say in a special May 2018 election as to whether the city should purchase CCW, a small water service company located in the northern part of the Surprise planning area and future water service area.
