Chandler to spend $1 million for more solar panels from RLG client, SolarCity

The Chandler City Council on Thursday voted 5-2 to approve a $1 million agreement with California-based SolarCity to install and maintain solar panels near City Hall.

The agreement would place the panels on the City Hall parking garage, in the parking lot shared by the Police Department and Municipal Court, and on the roof of the police building for a 20-year period. The panels would capture sunlight and convert it into electricity.
