Do you think of yourself as patriotic?
Do you love this country?
Most Americans would glibly answer “yes.” When “The Star-Spangled Banner” plays, they strike a suitably reverent pose.
But for an estimated 90 million voting-eligible Americans, it’s a sham.
They really don’t care.
These are the people who are not expected to vote in November.
Their reasons, according to a recent nationwide USA Today/Suffolk University Poll, are as unconvincing as telling the teacher the dog ate your homework.
