Tobin, Fann win LD1 seats

After an unusually bitter battle between Arizona Speaker of the House Andy Tobin of Paulden and Arizona Sen. Lori Klein of Anthem, Tobin eased to victory Tuesday in the primary election alongside Rep. Karen Fann of Prescott.

Arizona’s redistricting process put Klein into Legislative District 1, so she chose to run against Tobin and Fann instead of Senate President Steve Pierce of Prescott.

Tobin and Fann criticized the way Klein ran her campaign. Klein had told voters that she was the most conservative among them, and she accused Tobin of holding back House votes on anti-union bills.
