$79 million in bond monies needed for Globe’s proposed private prison

Information has just been released revealing last year’s controversial proposed private prison in northeast Globe would have resulted in a $60 million dollar construction project near the Gila County Fairgrounds if Emerald Corrections Corporation had been successful in its bid to win a 20-year contract with the Arizona Department of Corrections to build and operate the prison for 1,000 DOC male inmates
