Sundt developing N. California hub for criminal justice work

Sundt Construction Inc. is based in Tempe, but it is developing Sacramento, Calif., into a promising hub.

The company has established Sacramento as the base of its criminal justice team, which specializes in the construction of courthouses, jails and similar projects throughout the nation.

Sundt has been creating industry clusters — including a health care team in Phoenix and an aviation squad in San Diego — to benefit from common interests and knowledge. The criminal justice team is centralized in Sacramento because much of that work has been generated in California, said Vice President Wayne Einbinder, who runs the team.
