The mask of a freak

Rose Law Group Reporter Gripe of the Week

I am really ticked off!

What kind of person would even think of such a thing?

Where’s the compassion for those who will suffer for years?

What kind of corporation would be complicit in such a sick venture?

Are we more sick than we realize?

Oh, sorry, here’s what’s troubling me:

A rubber mask portraying the likeness of the suspected Aurora theater gunman was briefly available for purchase on eBay for $500. The seller (“realface13”) claimed he had won the mask while “playing a high stakes poker tournament” in Europe, and appeared to be marketing it for Halloween. The mask depicted James Holmes’ face, the way it appeared in his first mug shot with orange hair and blank expression.

Here’s what the would-be seller wrote: “Halloween is only a month away. SHOCK EVERYONE YOU KNOW! There is nothing more scary than crawling into James Holmes’ mind and wearing his face. His soul-penetrating eyes and The Joker orange hair makes this mask the most disturbing object you will ever own. Imagine owning the mask of supposedly the most dangerous mass murderer in U.S history.”

Imagine the perverted brain cells of this freak, realface 13. Someone should get that mask, cut it into pieces and feed it to realface on a bloody platter.

eBay finally removed the mask “because it did not comply with our Offensive Materials policy. Out of respect for victims of violent crimes, eBay does not allow listings that attempt to profit from human tragedy or suffering.”

Where’s the apology?
