Love horses?

So do the folks who volunteer at Gilbert’s WildHorse Ranch Rescue, a 501(c)3 sanctuary for horses in need. You can be part of the rescue’s mission to save horses from abuse, neglect, slaughter and premature death by volunteering for the WildHorse Ranch Rescue Feed Team.

Volunteers work in teams of two to four people, and shifts are flexible, according to the ad on www.volunteermatch.org . Morning shifts range from 6 a.m. to 10 a.m., and evening shifts range from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m. It takes about two hours to care for the horses.

Volunteers must be comfortable working with large animals, be at least 18 years old, and attend orientation or training.

WildHorse Ranch Rescue is located at 11811 Lindsay Road in Gilbert. For more information, visit www.whrr.org  or call Skip DeNardo at 866-926-8007.
