Carefree mayor bids for new term; 7 vie for 6 Council seats; RLG’s Adam Trenk running for Cave Creek Council (Adam formerly served as a Cave Creek Councilman)

Carefree Mayor David Schwan is running for reelection, and seven candidates are vying for six open council seats.

The current council members running for re-election are Mike Farrar, Glenn Miller, Melissa Price and Marty Saltzman.

Newcomers include John Crane, whom the town council chose to fill Jim Van Allen’s seat after he resigned in July, 16-year-resident Les Peterson, and three-year resident Michael Krahe, both of whom applied to fill Van Allen’s seat.

RLG Equine Law attorney Adam Trenk, a former member of the Cave Creek Town Council, is seeking to return.
