Glendale council appoints Hugh as Lieberman replacement

The Glendale City Council unanimously voted to appoint Glendale native Ian Hugh to fill the seat vacated by Cactus District Councilman Phil Lieberman, who resigned in October.

Earlier this month, Hugh was elected as the new councilmember for the Cactus District and after he finishes his appointed term, he will once again be sworn into office Jan. 15, 2013  with Mayor-Elect Jerry Weiers and Councilmembers-Elect Sam Chavira and Gary Sherwood. Hugh previously served on the city council from 1986 to 1991 and served as vice mayor.
