Sharlene Walker says her 15-year-old daughter was “balling her eyes out this morning” when they discovered the black painted quarter horse, named Beauty, was missing from their Apache Junction property.

The 13-year-old “very friendly” horse was stolen overnight Saturday from the corral in front of Walker house.

“I’m upset, especially for my daughter. I couldn’t afford to buy too many things for her for Christmas so her horse is one of the things I do provide for her,” Walker said.

Two other horses also were in the corral. The horse rustler left the gate open.

“She’s very friendly. She’ll reach out and play with you with her nose,” Walker said.. She’s part of our family.”
