Struggles in the solar market topped the list for big stories in Phoenix affecting the renewable energy industry.
The market was continually hit with too much supply and not enough customers, even though business was by far better than it ever has been in Arizona and the U.S. There also was the federal fight about whether the Chinese were undercutting the market.
The industry in the Valley still has a bright future, but there will be some bumps in the road next year, just as there were this year.
1. First Solar’s Mesa factory delay will mean job losses (Feb. 29)
2. Solar tariffs could hit Arizona companies (May 25)
3. Arizona nearly tops California for 3Q solar installations (Dec. 11)
