Arizona drops in national rankings for green-certified new construction

Stock Photo The U.S. Green Building Council found that Arizona ranked 34th in the nation for the most green building per capita.The great economic malaise that has stuck with Arizona for the past several years and crippled the building industry in the state has taken its toll on green construction as well.

The U.S. Green Building Council this week put out its annual survey of the states with the most green building per capita in the U.S.

Arizona’s rank: No. 34.

That’s what happens when you’re not building.

The USGBC requires that the green building space be certified through its Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design program.
