Earlier this month on Monday, Jan. 7, the city welcomed Harvey Krauss on board as its new, full-time community development director. He takes the place of former part-time director Rick Miller, who has since moved to the City of Coolidge’s planning department.
Krauss, 61, has been employed with the City of Goodyear since 1984 in a variety of positions in city management, community development and development services.
“I very much enjoy the dynamic nature of managing local government planning and development services, especially in a small community, and I was looking forward to a new challenge at this time in my professional career,” Krauss explained about his leaving Goodyear after so many years.
“I am proud of how Goodyear has grown and developed during my tenure in this position, and believe the knowledge and experience I’ve garnered during this period of rapid growth has given me an excellent background to assist the City of Eloy in its community and economic development program.”
