The city of Scottsdale is hosting a General Plan update open house from 5 to 7 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 21 at the Mountain View Community Center, 8625 E. Mountain View Road.
The open house is an effort to allow Scottsdale residents to learn and comment on the recently crafted vision statement, city officials say.
About 100 stakeholders recently gathered at a three-day Town Hall to craft the statements.
The Town Hall was the first step in the two-year General Plan process, which will help guide how the city matures over the next 20 years.
Scottsdale City Council approved Dec. 4, 2012 an $80,000 contract with Arizona Town Hall, a nonprofit organization used most recently by the municipality in 2006, to help garner public input as the update process begins.
