Get in line for Maricopa County Supervisor vacancy

It seems like everyone and their relatives want Max Wilson’s Maricopa County Board of Supervisors seat. It’s barely been a week since Wilson, citing health reasons, announced his resignation,  effective Monday, March 11.

As of Thursday morning, there were at least a dozen people who had submitted resumes and cover letters to the clerk of the board or otherwise expressed interest in the seat.

People started throwing their hats in the ring as soon as Wilson announced his resignation. Alliances are forming, and lots – lots – of phone calls are being made to the supervisors’ and the board clerk’s offices. The clerk has asked those interested to send a resume and cover letter, though it’s not required by state statute.
