PHOENIX — Jodi Arias is trying to save her life at her murder trial, but according to people claiming to be her associates, she is also running an art business from behind bars.
Arias claims to have two websites selling her artwork, which includes colored drawings of flowers, people, and landscapes.
The person who calls herself “the administrator” of AriasArt.com says Arias signs each piece, and puts her thumbprint on the back for authentication.
“She does try to draw during trial, but is unable to draw much. She really puts her heart into her art and she won’t even show a piece of art until she feels it’s complete,” the administrator, would not reveal her name, told 3TV.
Some of the pieces are selling for more than $1,000, according to the administrator. A portrait of Grace Kelly sold for more than $3,000, according to the administrator.
“The law in Arizona doesn’t prohibit her from selling the artwork, unless or until she’s convicted of a crime,” attorney Jordan Rose told 3TV.
“Selling a story about the crime is a real problem. The money someone would make off that would go to the victim,” Rose added. Continue reading:
