NHL Commissioner Gary Bettman said the league is committed to keeping the Phoenix Coyotes in Arizona, AP reports.
Speaking during the league’s announcement of the 2014 Winter Classic Sunday, Bettman said the NHL is not exploring alternative options to keeping the team in Phoenix and that there is considerable interest from several potential owners.
Greg Jamison, whose deal fell through when he couldn’t meet a deadline with Glendale, is still working on a deal. Former suitor Matthew Hulsizer is reportedly interested.
