Darin Pastor’s group stays in the hunt to buy Phoenix Coyotes from NHL

Most of the recent coverage of the Phoenix Coyotes ownership situation has centered on a new bid for the team by Canadian investment banker George Gosbee and partners from Ice Edge Holdings LLC, a previous bidder for the franchise.

But another group led by Southern California investment executive Darin Pastor also continues to move forward with its efforts to buy the Coyotes from the National Hockey League and keep the team in Glendale. The league has owned the team since 2009.

Pastor is CEO and principal of Irvine-based Capstone Affluent Strategies. He was previously managing director for Prudential Insurance of America in Southern California.
