Despite reported Coyotes sale approval, suitor prepares another offer

secondchanceAs the everyone waits to hear the outcome of today’s meetings between the National Hockey League, Renaissance Sports and the City of Glendale on an agreement on managing Jobing.com Arena and the sale of the Coyotes, former potential buyer Darin Pastor prepares another offer, just in case.

“We have revisited the financial feasibility of the team and arena operations and have come up with a revised second proposal,” Pastor said via email exclusively to The Glendale Star/Peoria Times. “If the NHL informs us that, among other things, its current requirement for a payment period as short as perhaps five years cannot be met by others competing for the team, we would be delighted to submit our revised second proposal to the NHL for its consideration.”

Pastor’s first offer to the N HL was for a proposed 15-year period to make payments for a total of between $202.5 and $277.5 million, which the NHL rejected in three days.
