During his playing career at Arizona State, Andrew Walter made quite an impression.
In three years as the Sun Devils’ starting quarterback, Walter helped ASU to a 22-16 record, and finished his career as the Pac-10’s all-time leader in touchdown passes with 85.
Now, he’s trying to make an impact on the state in a different capacity. Walter, a Republican, is running for U.S. Congress from Arizona’s District 9 in 2014. The District 9 seat is held by recently elected Democrat Kyrsten Sinema.
“I’ve been to many different places over the years, but Arizona will always be my home. I want to take the hard work and dedication the Walter name is known for and make a difference in Washington,” a statement from Walter reads on his official website.
Walter is an Arizona native and lives and works in Congressional District 9.
