Florence has new finance guru

The Town of Florence has hired Michael Farina to be the next finance director.

His first day on the job is Monday, June 3rd. Farina is replacing Rebecca Guilin who is retiring in June after 19 years of service to the town and the community.

Guilin will stay on after Farina’s first day to ensure a smooth transition.

Mr. Farina grew up in New Mexico and landed his first municipal accounting position with the town of Parker in 1997.  He was promoted to finance director there in 2006, a position he held until the end of 2012.
