Jodi Arias prosecutor Juan Martinez has at least one private-sector job offer waiting for him after the high-profile murder trial is over.
“I will make him an offer,” said Jordan Rose, managing partner of Rose Law Group in Scottsdale.
The commercial firm handles real estate, intellectual property, business litigation and other legal matters. Rose has been a frequent commentator on local media and national cable networks on the salacious murder trial. She’s also been known to take a less conventional path than other business attorneys and law firms in town.
“I will beat whatever offer anyone else in town makes,” said Rose, who wants to talk to Martinez after the trial is over.
Martinez is a 25-year veteran of the Maricopa County Attorney’s Office. He has grabbed national attention during the trial, which saw a Maricopa County Superior Court jury find Arias guilty today of the first-degree murder of Mesa marketing executive Travis Alexander. The penalty phase of the trial starts tomorrow.
The trial has been a staple on cable news networks for months.
Phoenix publicist David Leibowitz also sees some new career opportunities for Martinez if he chooses to go a new route with his career.
“I’ve been an admirer of Juan’s work for at least a dozen years.” said Leibowitz, a longtime journalist before moving into the advertising and communications sectors. “While his over-the-top courtroom style isn’t for everyone, who wouldn’t want an experienced, high-profile trial lawyer on their team,” he said. “But who knows? Maybe he has political aspirations one day. He certainly has some name identification now.”
