All Jodi Arias Edition

Highlighting (Jodi Arias trial) news and images in Arizona—via tweets.

By Mike Saucier @MikeTheSauce

The big day everyone was waiting for finally came and did not disappoint: Jodi Arias was pronounced guilty of murder in the first degree. Celebrations ensued as the nation watched. As with all major news events now, everybody took to Twitter to celebrate, exasperate (and procrastinate). Here is a sample of the tweets about the trial’s dramatic end.

CAUTION: $ DOWNTURN AHEAD

Fox Sports Arizona producer Josh Kelman has a question: “What will happen to Arizona’s Arias-based economy after this verdict?”

THE COUNTER-ARIAS APPROACH

The Phoenix Business Journal tweeted counterintuitively: “We will not be covering the Jodi Arias verdict. RT if you like this.”

And then later on, after the verdict buzz started to wind down, the Journal tweeted: “Are we all calming down now? Are we getting past it? Ready for more business news that may actually affect your day?”

DEATH SENTENCE TOO?

Phoenix public relations pro Stephanie Lough tweeted: “I don’t care what the verdict is, but the coverage of the Jodi Arias trial has been a thief of time. I find the media guilty.”

GATHERING OF THE CURIOUS

12 News multimedia journalist Bryan West, after the news the verdict would be announced: “What a difference a half hour makes… This place is packed for Arias verdict.”
