Cable this: Coolidge seizes Wavevision property

The long, frustrating dispute between the City of Coolidge and the Internet provider Wavevision appears to have finally reached its conclusion.

The Coolidge City Council went into executive session during its meeting on May 28, where they approved sending a letter from City Attorney Denis Fitzgibbons informing Wavevision’s parent company, SWWG LLC, that the city has terminated their relationship. Wavevision is also known as Transcend Broadband.

“As a result of Transcend’s failure to make the payments to the City when due,” the letter states, “Transcend’s tenancy is automatically terminated and the City is entitled to, and hereby takes, absolute possession of Transcend’s equipment, antenna facilities, personal property and structures located on the City’s property.”
