Dear Fellow Pinal County Taxpayers:

As a fiscally conservative member of the Central Arizona College Governing Board, and as a strong supporter of education in Pinal County, I have spent my professional career and personal life supporting both taxpayers and students of the County.  I am not a proponent of raising taxes but there are times when increasing our contribution benefits the community as a whole.

On May 21, 2013, CAC held a Truth in Taxation hearing for the community to voice its support and concerns about the proposed tax increase. There was a misperception that CAC’s tax increase would raise the total county tax bill for residents by 34% – that is patently untrue.
