David Gergen, President of Pro Player Health Alliance (PPHA), met yesterday with Roy Green to plan the very first celebrity golf tournament hosted by the American Sleep And Breathing Academy. In attendance was Jeanette Robins, executive director for the medical side of the American Sleep And Breathing Academy, as well as Jana Weltzin, Jeremy Woods, Roy Green, Mark Walczak and Derek Kennard.
The tournament will feature some of sports’ greatest athletes including the two greatest Arizona Cardinals receivers of all time, Roy Green and Larry Fitzgerald. Roy has also asked his good friend Charles Barkley to golf in the tournament. After treating over 150 former professional athletes for sleep apnea, Pro Player Health Alliance will be an official sponsor of the event.
Gergen, also owner of Gergen’s Orthodontic Lab, was specifically selected as the Executive Director of the Dental Division to the American Sleep and Breathing Academy (ASBA). The Dental Division of the ASBA officially held its first ever meeting on Sleep Medicine and Oral Appliance Therapy for dentists to learn about the imperative addition of oral appliance therapy for sleep apnea treatment to their practice May 24th and 25th. The ASBA has over 16,000 medical members and 60,000 members with the association.
