An effort is under way to redevelop the Scottsdale Cottonwoods Resort & Suites.
Paradise Valley Town Council is expected June 27 to render an opinion on the Statement of Direction outlining the parameters of examination for the planning commission as it begins dissecting the redevelopment plan later this summer.
A final site plan and narrative of the project was filed with the Town of Paradise Valley April 17 by WSRH Cottonwoods LLC and WSRH Scottsdale Land LLC, revising its Sept. 7, 2012 Special-Use Permit application.
The Cottonwoods Resort is at 6160 N. Scottsdale Road in Paradise Valley.
The SOD comes on the heels of an approved major General Plan amendment — seeking a change to allow resort operations — on a five-acre portion on the southwest corner of the 27.5-acre site.
