Cave Creek Council OKs contract with acting Town Manager, praised by Council Vice Mayor Adam Trenk

The Cave Creek Town Council unanimously approved the contract of acting Town Manager Rodney Glassman on Monday night.

The agreement is set to last no later than Jan. 8.

Glassman will receive the equivalent of a $112,000 annual salary, or $2,154 per week, according to the contract.

His duties, aside from normal day-to-day responsibilities, are to help conduct a financial audit of the town and to oversee the search for a permanent town manager.

Glassman replaces former Town Manager Usama Abujbarah, who held the post since 1999. The new council, which was made up of a majority of newly electd members, was sworn in June 3, ousted Abujbarah as its first point of business, June 10.
