Against a backdrop of the set for “The Fox on the Fairway,” candidates for five positions in the upcoming city of Yuma primary election took to the stage at the Yuma Historic Theatre early Thursday morning to give the audience an glimpse into who they are and why they’re seeking office.
The candidate forum was held by the Yuma Sun as this month’s Know Yuma: Inside & Out. In one short hour, the various candidates literally had seconds to tell their stories and make their pitches for why voters should support them.
The candidates are vying for mayor, three city council seats and presiding municipal judge in the primary election to be held Aug. 27.
