The Cosanti Foundation announced that a three-day memorial celebration of architect Paolo Soleri will be Sept. 20-22.
The celebration will be in three locations.
On Sept. 20, plans are being made to honor Soleri at Cosanti, the Paradise Valley compound where he lived and continues as a studio, gallery and foundry where his bronze and ceramic bells are produced.
On Sept. 21, there will be an all-day celebration at Arcosanti, the model for a future city in Cordes Junction. The day coincides with the 32nd annual Colly Soleri Concert. Colly Soleri was Soleri’s musician wife who died in 1982.
On Sept. 22, the final celebration will be conducted at the Soleri Bridge and Plaza from 11 a.m. to noon to coincide with the fall equinox.
Soleri died April 9. He was 93.
